Tomi Sogade is an artist from Macon, GA, a freshman still trying to get adjusted, and a person still trying to grow every day. Poetry was always something done as a hobby and never taken seriously. After performing at the Parsons School of Design in New York, Tomirealized that there is more to the words and rhymes he created but a chance to inspire deeper, productive discussion.

His poetry centers on the diversity of peoples from the African diaspora and the continent, focusing on identity, spirituality, and history within a surrealistic backdrop. Tomi believes what troubles he has both faced and has been privileged to not face serve as the basis for supporting those who have been granted much less in life.
