David (he/him) is a student writer, spoken word artist, and researcher from the metro D.C. area. His work often deals with navigating the blurred lines of memory, identity, and nature. Drawn to poetry and creative expression after his junior year of high school, David has participated in various poetry slams and open mics, including placing first at the 2018 Northern Virginia invitational slam and competing in the 2019 Hyperbole—Virginia’s largest individual youth poetry slam. He hopes to help others gain more introspection into how their pasts have influenced their present, and also reflect on inexplicable emotions rooted in previous experiences. When he’s not writing, you can find him in a lab, creating tons of playlists of Spotify, or crocheting.
