Dana Chiueh is a Taiwanese-American poet, writer, and journalist in the Stanford Class of 2023. Originally from East Setauket, New York, Dana has also lived in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, leading to a deep interest in incorporating various aspects of her international upbringing and culture into her work. As a poet, Dana has been published in thirteen literary magazines and journals, including Polyphony Lit, Words Dance, and Sine Theta Magazine, and founded a poetry club in her senior year of high school to foster literary spirit and help writers workshop their work in an intimate community. When she’s not writing, Dana can be found tweeting, watching paint-mixing videos on YouTube, or concocting four-year plans. To Dana, writing is a way of making art out of her mind’s clutter, and she can’t wait to continue using poetry to grow more as a writer, person, and friend.
